I started Lisa Health with a big mission. Use the power of technology and science to transform the menopause experience for women worldwide. When I reached menopause and began experiencing symptoms, my life changed overnight. The physical and mental symptoms were impacting my health, relationships, productivity, and quality of life. I struggled to find answers and solutions – from my doctor, Google, and Facebook – the typical places women seek help. It was the same experience I’ve heard from countless women. The gaps in effective solutions for managing the menopause journey – one that is fully one-third of a woman’s life – affect every woman worldwide. With technology now commonplace to manage virtually every other medical condition, why should over a billion women be left to figure things out on their own? So I decided to start a company to end the shame and silence associated with menopause, empower every woman to self-manage this critical, complex life stage using the latest technology, and find support from other women. As we grow and modernize the menopause and midlife health journey for women, we will continue to focus on making this life stage the most rewarding.
